With astounding visual arts creations and virtuoso storytelling and mime, Michael Cooper creates a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience. A “poet of the stage,” Michael creates a joyful parade of slick fish and snorting bulls, galloping mustangs and dancing giants. He reveals the wonder in the everyday, mesmerizing adults and children alike. Taking up to three hundred hours to produce a single paper or cloth mask, Michael Cooper has crisscrossed the world, presenting his art in such varied places as the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Hong Kong International Children’s Festival and the Dublin Theater Festival.
