with YIA Mentor Artist Alma Raddha

Join Greek Hero Odysseus and BOXTALES Theatre Company as they recount the most famous road trip ever, complete with Poseidon, Athena, Zeus, the Cyclops, the Sirens and more.  Known for blending mask theatre and movement, Boxtales also incorporates acrobatics and stilt-jumping into this fast-paced performance.  Special opening performance by YIA Mentor Theatre Artist and Storyteller Alma Raddha!

BOXTALES' mission is to present myths and folktales from around the world to youth and family audiences using storytelling, live music, movement and mask work. Boxtales aims to fire imaginations, strengthen cultural pride, foster tolerance, and engage young people in the excitement and immediacy of live performance.

Alma Raddha has been an actress, playwright and educator for over 18 years. Alma specializes in utilizing theater to develop communication and collaboration skills in multiple languages. Alma teaches theater in K-12 classrooms through YIA's Artists in Schools .
